The claims process

    Notify us first

    Contact the claims hotline for the carrier listed on your policy declarations page. Have your policy number, the date of loss, and a brief description of the damage ready.

    Document the damage

    Take photos and videos of all affected areas before making temporary repairs. Save receipts for emergency mitigation expenses — most policies reimburse reasonable steps taken to prevent further damage.

    Work with the adjuster

    An adjuster from the carrier will contact you to schedule an inspection. Provide documentation, repair estimates, and any other information they request.
